Tracey oversees Learning support within the school and teaches Irish to the senior classes from Third Form up. Tracey is particularly invested in children’s emotional well-being and implements a positive psychological approach to her teaching and learning. Along with a host of continuous professional development certificates, Tracey has attained qualifications in Special Needs, a H.Dip in Montessori Pedagogy, a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Management.

Graduate of UCC with a BA in English, Geography, and a H.Dip in Musicology, Lou has a passion for knowledge in various subjects and wishes to inspire and ignite a similar passion in her students. She believes that each child is unique in their individual character and talents, both inside and outside the classroom. She welcomes challenges and wishes to inspire her students like her teachers inspired her, with the phrase: 'You become what you contemplate.'

With a background in science and education, Mr Bennet operates a geological consultancy and teaches science, mathematics and history in both Headfort and High School Rathgar. A former director of the National Parents’ Council post primary, he holds qualifications from NUI, Dublin University, Durham and University of Houston. Both his children attended Headfort and are currently completing degrees in Trinity College Dublin.
Mr Clark Brydon
5/6th Form Teacher; Head of Music; Head of ICT; Latin; History; Religion; Mathematics; Network Administrator
Clark graduated with a first-class honours degree in Music from the University of York. He worked as a teacher and professional cathedral musician throughout the UK, before moving to Ireland to join the team at Headfort School. Alongside this, he is undertaking a PhD in Music at Trinity College Dublin, and is a Bass Lay Vicar at St Patrick's Cathedral, the National Cathedral of Ireland. Clark’s main aim is to develop and nurture Headfort's bustling musical community, affording the children the opportunity to develop key communication skills and enjoy building their confidence through performance.

Mrs Aisling Hennessey
Junior & Senior Infants Form Teacher
Aisling holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years Education. She is highly knowledgeable in Aistear, the National Early Years Curriculum. Aisling is also an avid believer of continuous professional development and as such has recently obtained further qualifications in Montessori pedagogy, specifically Literacy and Numeracy and Learning Environments. Aisling is a keen musician and enjoys including music as part of her holistic curriculum.

Kieran has been teaching the guitar for over twenty years in various locations. He studied with Alan Grundy at the Dublin School of Guitar, during which time her gained two diplomas with the Victoria College of Music, and a DipABRSM in Instrumental Teaching. Kieran likes to teach in a relaxed manner and cater for what the students themselves would like to learn.

Atty has been teaching people of all ages on and off since 1990. Her three children came to school at Headfort so it a very familiar place. Atty hopes to instil a sense of fun and adventure into the Art Room and have some diverse and exciting projects for the children.

Denise holds a first-class BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years Education. She has also attained qualifications in Montessori Pedagogy and an advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education. Denise has also completed a course in Special Needs Assisting which further instilled a greater respect for the uniqueness and natural competence of the child. Denise recognises the significance of play, particularly risky play for children today.
Mr Matthew Tiernan
Matthew is in charge of maintaining the most special and amazing grounds. Alongside a host of health and safety courses, his main qualifications are in Greenkeeping. Matthew also has a keen interest in horticulture and is on the lookout for a suitable course to advance this knowledge. Matthew is looking forward to being involved in the development of the Forge garden and to reinstate lost and forgotten areas. He is committed to working hard alongside the new team and wishes everyone the very best of luck.
