One day at Headfort

Throughout its history, and beginning as a boarding school only, Headfort’s vigorous and unique curriculum has remained its hallmark. There is no other day or boarding school that provides a curriculum like it, and it is for this reason, that our community is so proud of the all-round education we provide.

The school has long used the Irish National Curriculum as the foundation of its learning programme. Our strength, however, is that this foundation is then built upon through a vigorous amalgamation of global curricula, that enhance the learning experience of every child. We have a strong emphasis on inquiry learning and use elements of the International Baccalaureate to enhance the student experience to create a truly unique learning journey for every child.

While there is no such thing as a typical day at Headfort, for our students make each day unique – the timetable is laid out as follows (for students in Form 3 and above)...
